dorothys and such..

So I missed the opertunity to witness some marvoulous television this weekend. Gappy was fineally attached to the glittering moon of dispair and said goodbye to the andy lloyd in his dorothy program this week.

its about time, really she wasn't the strongest. Now i kind of like her when she sings the odd showtune but singing those popular songs its just awkward. Granted most of this show is awkward.
I did enjoy her scooby-doo-villanesque speech very" this isn't over!" you havn't seen the last of me" "I would have got away with it too if it wern't for you meddling public"
but what i think was most interesting about this weeks campy exit came from Jessica. Now I'm not sure why, but the evil within jessica could not be contained and finally decided to break free.

Is she mad at gappy? has she had enough of reciting munchkin poetry? well by the powers of some very complicated computer know how i have determined what exactly the jess demon disproves of....
....gingers. Thats right gingers. Racist!
In honor of gappy...gaptoothed pirates for all!

gotta love Andy Lloyd. he is most my most favourite thing about that programme. look how he braces himself for the latest "mash up"

we're all doing the same At home andy lloyd. The pop song started and we were all treated to a o Gaga medley. now i am a big lover of showtunes but i do enjoy a bit of Gaga. shocker really. Andy lloyd did not aprrove.

He started mumbling to himself half way through the song. I'm not good with lip syncing but i think he may have been saying "not as good as that Sam Tsui boy from you tube". We all nod in agreement with you lord.

New t-shirt design

Just trying to decide what colour Tee I should put it on...hmmm.

Also seeing as it was a sunday, a few hours ago which means that this evening we were treated to The camp fest spectacular that is the "dorothy goodbye Song" from Andy Lloyds quest to find a girl to wear ruby slippers in his new production of the wizard of oz.

Its such a celebration of musical theatre campiness, which is such a train wreck its cringe worthy to watch, which of corse gives it that spectacular edge.

Firstly the girls that survived recite the munchkin lines from "ding dong the witch is dead"
which when put in context is rather cruel. But the speak them like its moving poetry, its so delightfully horrid.

Then of corse the dimissed dorothy is stripped of her shoes and sent over to be swung over her fellow contestants on a giant sparkly moon, before being whipped out of shot.
Her last line being "Why oh why can't I?" well its because the public don't like you dear.

Gotta give dani credit she really went out with a a bang loved her ending, but poor girl was trying to Emote with her hands whilst sat on the moon! Thats a bad thing cos those stage hands controlling the moon arn't exactly moving that thing at a lesurely pace, she could have fallen off! now that would have been and exit to remember.

Last rant on the dorothy program...Whats with the "mash ups" Mixing sondheim with Beyonce? doesn't really work :S

They are all in Long over coats (which is musical theatre for saddness) Singing "losing my mind" then Suddenly strip down to skimpy dresses and shake their boot-ay?

what strange, strange television you are giving us andy lloyd.

My new most favourite thing ever.

Marla Mindle, is simple a genius. This is the most Ridiculous, hilarious version of "part of your World" ever. I could listen to this for hours.

"yoo wahnt thing-ahh-mah-baaarrbs?"

Pursueing ideas...random sketches...

having recently aquired illustrator I've been trying out its lovely vector pen tool to get some clean cut outlining. pretty please with the outcome. not too shabby Ol' sammy of my "sammy and the sand man Idea.

Threadless.com is an exciting but also quite intimidating place, i've got a few ideas for some more t-shirts my first design scored a 1.78 over all which isn't that bad but I wanna get a print dammit!
"

"Fireflies"- inspired Navy tee with happy robots, Ostirch trying to blend with llamas, yorghurt pot horror! and A little monster blowing away people with balloons like dandylions. Hopefully these ones will go down well. :)

Lastly, sketches of a random character.

Hope you like it.

Any Dream Will do anything to solve a problem over the rainbow.

Gotta love the dorothy programme and andy lloyd back on our tellys again. My moneys on ol' gappy going home tomorrow, to be honest she should have gone last week not barbie dorothy gappy or balamory scotsman. I shall learn their names eventually.

On another slightly less campy note, I think how to train your dragon has leaked into my subconcious, as dragons appeared in some animation practice today

and what would a blog post be without some doodles?
